Harry H. Hummel
AIA, NCARB, EDAC, LEED®AP
Principal, Healthcare
Harry established the healthcare design team at Francis Cauffman 25 years ago and has since grown it to be Francis Cauffman’s largest practice. He fulfills a passion for designing healthcare buildings, knowing the complexities in terms of design and service. He leads his clients through the design process through construction to opening, acting as an executive advisor and carrying out his client’s wishes. When leading a team, he identifies tasks that are critical to the success of every project, including team formation, communication, costing, and code evaluation. Harry’s experience extends to a wide variety of specialized hospitals, ambulatory care units, research and long-term care centers.
Recently, he was principal-in-charge for Gagnon Cardiovascular Institute at the Morristown Memorial Hospital and developed a creative way for the hospital to expand its landlocked hospital. He has also led extensive renovations for the Harrisburg Hospital of PinnacleHeath Systems, modernizing and expanding their facilities and services in a constricted city environment.
Harry earned a Bachelor of Architecture from Montana State University.
