FCA collaborated with Fordham University and its Principal Investigator for the renovation of laboratory space for the Kim B. and Stephen E. Bepler Chair in Physics. The 1,300 SF renovation is located in Freeman Hall on Fordham University's Rose Hill Campus in the Bronx. The renovated laboratory is designed to support research on new ways to treat cancer and other diseases by focusing on cellular structures known as microtubules, connecting biology with materials science. The laboratory design includes multiple fume hoods, optical benches, and a laser cutter table. FCA’s services began with a feasibility study that included multiple test fits, followed by full design and construction administration services, including obtaining approvals from the New York City Department of Buildings, FDNY, and other City agencies.
