For the Fox Rothschild office in Philadelphia, we were challenged to reposition and relocate the office while incorporating the feeling of Philadelphia into the design. The city's unique urban grid was worked into major design elements to achieve a timeless aesthetic for a long-leased space. The vertical planning strategically places the reception and conference areas on the highest floor to create a strong focus on client experience. The conference center features high-end finishes, including woods and terrazzo, emphasizing a transitional office design, with a main conference room featuring a retractable glass partition for flexible business and social use.
On the lower floors, practice areas boast uniformly sized offices with glass fronts to maximize natural light and foster open communication. Open office "neighborhoods" are situated at the perimeter for natural light access and integrate biophilia, while a central café on the middle floor serves as a key collision point with varied seating and services.
The resulting design prioritizes a cohesive and flexible environment, blending aesthetic appeal with functional versatility to support both client engagement and employee well-being in a modern hybrid work setting.
