FCA led the interior fit-out of the 15-story Plum II Medical Office Building at RWJUH New Brunswick, which supports key clinical and academic services. The project required consolidating Cardiology, Neurology, and Neurosurgery.
To align stakeholders and accelerate decision-making, FCA facilitated an intensive, collaborative charrette process with RWJBH/Rutgers leadership and end users. This approach established early consensus on program, adjacencies, and equipment, reducing delays and limiting scope growth.
FCA also coordinated closely with structural and MEP partners to deliver high-performance clinical environments. Key efforts included integrating advanced medical technologies, planning vertical medical gas distribution, coordinating complex IT systems, and aligning life safety and acoustic requirements. This work informed a detailed Basis of Design, supporting accurate budgeting and streamlined GMP procurement.
The result is a fully integrated, construction-ready facility that balances clinical performance, operational efficiency, and user experience. Overall, the project demonstrates FCA’s ability to deliver complex healthcare projects with clarity and precision.
