King and Spalding Denver

Corporate / Workplace
King & Spalding’s Denver office reimagines what a modern law workplace can be - elevated, welcoming, and distinctly local. Perched on the 19th floor, this 10,300SF renovation transforms a single floor into a refined, hospitality-driven environment that balances prestige with everyday comfort.

The design captures Denver’s approachable professional culture through a compelling mix of industrial and historic influences. Polished concrete, open ceilings, and expanded metal create an urban edge, while warm wood and terracotta reference the city’s railroad-era architecture. At reception, a sculptural terracotta wall and custom millwork desk immediately set the tone: bold, tactile, and unexpected. A striking procession of pivoting larch planks adds movement and visual intrigue on the way to meeting spaces.

Throughout the office, layered walnut, blackened steel, glass, and aluminum materials enhance texture and light flow. A vibrant café anchors the layout, fostering connection and daily interaction. Acoustic features and thoughtful spatial transitions ensure both performance and comfort. The result is a workplace that feels dynamic and alive - honoring the firm’s legacy while embracing Denver’s spirit with confidence and warmth.
